COVID-19 update

Patients on the second floor of the Catherine Booth Hospital have tested positive for COVID-19. As per Infection control guidelines, COVID-19 positive patients remain in their room with dedicated staff, and we are testing all of the patients on the floor for the virus.

As per the Ministry’s Rehabilitation contingency plan, level 4, part of the second floor is nowa hot zone, and the hospital is a considered a warm zone. All visitors must continue to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and be adequately vaccinated. Furthermore, patients are asked to identify two potential visitors but only one visitor is allowed per day.

The Catherine Booth Hospital has been designated as the site for stable COVID-19 patients requiring rehabilitation within CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. As a result, we have designated up to 20 beds for this purpose which we will be opening as required.
